Our dedicated Teaching Fellow team are subject specialists focused on delivering student education, which is active, social, applied, and inclusive within our vibrant and varied education environment.
The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health. As we continue to develop our Dietetic provision we are seeking an innovative and partnership focused Dietician to join our Practice Based Learning Team.
The Role
As Senior Teaching Fellow in Dietetics you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination with a focus on further developing new and innovative practice based learning opportunities working in collaboration with our partners across England. You will work as part of the course team supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs including apprenticeship routes ensuring learners have an effective learning experience. All Senior Teaching Fellows lead on aspects of the learning experience including the leadership of staff teams.
Based within the School of Health and Care you will work with and lead academic colleagues to enrich learning and teaching experience to ensure relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.
Duties include:
- Lead the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials including Curriculum development.
- Development of practice based learning in collaboration with partners
- Contributing to the effect delivery of BSc and MSc provision
- Partnership working with NHS, Statutory and Independent Providers

Qualifications Required
- Master’s degree in appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
- HCPC registrant
- A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one
- Active membership of appropriate professional body

You will need to be a HCPC registered Dietitian alongside a successful track record of teaching, learning and assessment practice, with evidence of supporting practice based learning within your work-place.

You will collaborate across Allied Health Profession curriculum areas to support the effective delivery of high-quality courses and promote excellence in learner experience.
