Competitive starting salary range from £46,115 up to £52,597 per annum (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered

The Role

 

As Assistant Professor (teaching) in Dietetics you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination with a focus on further developing new and innovative academic practice and learning opportunities working in collaboration with our partners across England. You will work as part of the course team supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs including apprenticeship routes ensuring learners have an effective learning experience. All those in senior roles lead on aspects of the learning experience including the management of staff teams.
 

Based within the AHP Dietetics will work with and lead academic colleagues to enrich learning and teaching experience to ensure relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses. 
 

Duties include: 

 

•    Lead the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials including Curriculum development.
•    Development of teaching and learning in collaboration with course teams. 
•    Contributing to the effective delivery of BSc and MSc provision including course leadership.
•    Partnership working with NHS, Statutory and Independent Providers.

Qualifications Required

 
•    Master’s degree in appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership. 
•    HCPC registrant as a Dietitian.
•    A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one.
•    Active membership of appropriate professional body.

You will need to be a HCPC registered Dietitian alongside a successful track record of teaching, learning and assessment practice, with evidence of supporting learning within your work-place.  


You will be highly motivated and join CU Health and Care (CUHC) in supporting the department’s vision and ambitions as a leading provider of high quality health and care education. You will collaborate across Allied Health Profession curriculum areas to support the effective delivery of high-quality courses and promote excellence in learner experience.


An experienced team leader with good level of digital fluency, you will have experience using creating teaching materials for face to face and online teaching using a VLE.


Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to the academic subject area.
