Competitive starting salary ranges from £32,942 up to £37,087 (dependent on experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered

Our dedicated Teaching team are subject specialists focused on delivering student education, which is active, social, applied, and inclusive within our vibrant and varied education environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Academic Marking Assistant for our MSc Post Qualifying Nursing courses.

The Role

 

Based on-site at Coventry University in Coventry, you will work closely with academic colleagues to provide assessment support, and supervision for our MSc Nursing Post Qualifying learners. You will also offer marking support across the MSc Nursing course including student final dissertation/projects.  

 

Duties include:

 

•    Offering dissertation project/ research supervision for our MSc Nursing Post Qualifying learners. 
•    Offering marking support across our MSc Nursing Post Qualifying course.
•    Supporting the design, implementation, ratification and quality assurance processes related to student assessment.  
•    Upholding high standards of academic integrity in all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment
•    The preparation and dissemination of both generic and specific formative and summative student feedback. 
•    The development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning. 

Qualifications Required

 

•    Active and live registration with the NMC / HCPC or other Health related professional body is essential for the role. 
•    Master’s degree in an appropriate subject is essential for the role.  
•    PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous

Our Successful Candidate

 

You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 within Higher Education.

 

You will have a passion for sharing knowledge and supporting students in their learning journey, with the ability to work flexibly to meet learner needs. 

 

Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience supporting, enhancing and engaging in an ‘active learning’ pedagogy with evidence in proactively supporting student success.


As a global education provider, experience and awareness of learners cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.

 

Innovation and collaboration are key to our success, therefore the ability to work both independently and part of a wider team with the willingness to engage in flexible ways of working are key skills required for this role.
