This role is based within CU Academic Services, a sister company of Coventry University and part of the Coventry University Group.
The Role
This is a great opportunity to join Coventry University Group within our Registry Services team and a role that encompasses College Student Administration, Central Student Administration and Events, Quality and Accreditation and International Compliance.
In the role of Assistant Registrar, you will be a crucial link between the registry services users and the delivery of operational and compliance related activities. Reporting to a Registrar you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of registry specialists dedicated to delivering first-class support for the academic journey of our large and diverse student body, demonstrating a high level of customer service, integrity and professionalism.
You will build and maintain effective relationships with peers across the University Group in both an academic and professional services capacity, along with the wider academic registry community.
You will be required to support and take responsibility for the operation of the progression and awards boards and the associated processes. You will also support the groups compliance with Ofsted and its obligations ensuring an effective journey for those on an apprenticeship route and support the groups UKVI compliance requirements, maintaining student visa applications, immigration documentation and reporting to the UKVI.
This role will also require you to manage and support the enrolment, assessment and graduation internal services.
The role will be based at our Coventry Campus and will initially be focussed on supporting one of our colleges, but the post-holder should expect to work with different teams in this dynamic and progressive environment.
Our Successful Candidate
To be successful for this role will be qualified to degree level or with the equivalent experience in a similar role.
You will have experience of working within a higher education environment and having previously worked within a large, complex organisation, you will support our student’s journey ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are adhered to. Previously working in a highly regulated role or environment would be advantageous.
In your previous experience you will have supervised staff, manage workloads and planning and resource allocation across your team. As well as overseeing the recruitment, induction, training and appraisal and performance review process of the team.
