Competitive starting salary range from £24,855 up to £26,706 (dependent on experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered

This role is based within CU Apprenticeships Ltd, a sister company of Coventry University and part of the Coventry University Group.

The Role

 

As a Claims Assistant working as a part of the friendly and close-knit Apprenticeship team, you will be responsible for a range of administration activities associated with the claiming of apprenticeship funding. This will range from creation of Individual Learner Records (ILRS), ensuring accuracy of information and timely completion to managing the withdrawal and break in learning process. Good general IT skills will be required, as well as a professional approach to resolving queries from the wider team or external clients and the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues across the University.

 

This role will also be involved in a wide range of other tasks to support the financial processes including, management of the Digital Apprenticeship Service ensuring accurate records are maintained and learners are added in a timely manner to preparing and posting appropriate financial documentation including, but not limited to, purchase orders and sales invoices / credit notes. Here, being able to manage a varied and changing set of priorities in a fast-paced environment will be important, alongside the ability to use your initiative to problem solve.

 

You will play an integral role within the team, helping to ensure funding is being claimed accurately while adhering to the ESFA funding rules. Our Successful Candidate

 

You will have a good standard of education and hold a minimum of 3 A-levels grade A-C or the Equivalent. You will also have a minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths or the equivalent.

 

You will have experience of working in an administrative role and experience of working to regulatory guidelines and legislative framework.

 

Experience of working in a fast-paced administration/financial role would be beneficial, as would knowledge of Higher Education, Apprenticeships and/or Apprenticeship funding knowledge.
