The Role
The Global Financial Performance team is accountable for ensuring the financial sustainability and long-term resilience of the institution by aligning financial strategies with the Group’s broader corporate objectives. Acting as strategic partners across all Group entities, the team delivers tailored financial advice and planning that aids institutional growth, income diversification, and resource optimisation. A significant element of the team’s remit is fostering financial accountability and raising commercial awareness at all levels of the organisation, thereby embedding a culture of financial literacy and sustainability.
We are recruiting a Financial Performance Partner to join our wider global finance team. Reporting to the Senior Financial Performance Partner, you will play a lead role in providing high-quality financial insight and support to senior managers across the University Group. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and driving improvements in financial processes and management information.
In this role you will contribute to the preparation of monthly accounts and quarterly forecasts accurately to meet the timely deadlines. You will review financial, business and delivery variances across the business, taking into account the business risk factors materiality and revenue recognition principles.
You will support your business areas in preparing estimates and budgets, along with end of year financial data to meet business deadlines, accurately and in line with business deadlines.
Our Successful Candidate
You will hold a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or the equivalent experience in a similar role.
Your previous experience will be in financial or management accounting, which will include budget preparation, management accounting and project costing. Experience using Agresso would be advantageous.
You will be competent in using Microsoft Office, with a particular understanding of Outlook, and Word, with excellent working knowledge of Excel. Experience of using Microsoft Office 365 would be advantageous.
You will be able to work and deliver agreed targets to meet business needs and contribute to process and quality improvements across the group.
