The Role
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions to join our current Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) training delivery team within CU Health & Care, Coventry University.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join the team currently delivering our Graduate/Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions. The course sits alongside our Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and there will be opportunities to receive mentorship from staff across the curriculum area as part of the role.
You will support the Associate Head of Department/Course Director and wider team members in the delivery of low intensity psychological therapies training in line with our national curricula and professional body requirements. You will also undertake teaching sessions and workshops, and the marking of clinical and academic submissions. Other responsibilities will include contributing to course quality assurance processes and assisting with module leadership activities and administration.
Our Successful Candidate
Applications are invited from BABCP/BPS-registered PWPs with a good understanding and working knowledge of the Low Intensity PWP role within NHS stepped-care Talking Therapies services. We are looking for applicants who share our passion for delivering a positive and inclusive training experience within which our trainees can thrive, and beyond which they can uphold the values of ethical, competent and patient-centred practitioners. Applicants will need to demonstrate significant knowledge in this area of clinical specialisation, and be committed to supporting the design and delivery of teaching that is engaging, innovative and which facilitates proficiency in low intensity cognitive behavioural assessment and intervention.
Qualifications Required
• Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honors Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
• Active membership of, and registration with, an appropriate professional body (BPS/BABCP)
