Salary
Competitive starting salary range from £24,004 up to £26,618 (dependant upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

The Role

 

As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep of our teaching and accommodation buildings. This role will see you joining an experienced team responsible for the upkeep of our ever-evolving campus. Your work will directly contribute to the student and staff experience, maintaining the highest standards. 

 

The primary function of this role is to deliver building maintenance services to our student teaching and accommodation campuses nationwide. While predominantly based at the Coventry Campus, there will be opportunities to work at other sites, including London, Milton Keynes, and Scarborough. 
 

Our Successful Candidate

 

We are looking for experienced maintenance technicians with a background in maintaining buildings and a broad set of skills, such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting. This role can be physically demanding and may involve moving/removal tasks. 

 

Training may be provided to address minor gaps in experience. This role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring adaptability and the capability to handle varied tasks daily. The successful candidate must be willing to work closely with other technicians, carrying out fault-finding investigations and diagnosing maintenance issues. 

 

This position offers a dynamic and ever-changing work environment where no two days are alike. You must thrive in a fast-paced setting and be adaptable to shifting priorities. The role requires a confident driver with experience driving large vehicles such as Boxer and Luton vans. 

 

As this role involves working across multiple locations, you must be willing and able to travel to remote campus buildings, including Scarborough, Milton Keynes, Central London, and Dagenham, to support operations managers. Occasional overnight stays may be required.
