The Role

 

The Centre for Discoveries in Life Science (DLS) is recognised for pioneering research in the areas of Clinical Science and Translational medicine, Biomedicines, and Applied Science & Biotechnology with impact to improve health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

 

The Research Fellow will be working on the STRATIFYHF project delivering clinical data collection and analysis from exisiting and related from large clinical registries; key skills and experience are in conducting clinical research and development of risk stratification and prediction models; big data and AI interpretation.

 

Qualifications Required

 

PhD and/or MD with a 1st Class/2.1 Degree in Clinical Sciences and Translational Medicine

 

Our Successful Candidate

 

We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and passionate individual with existing specialism knowledge in the areas of (i) application of the Cardiac Output Response to Stress (CORS) test in clinical practice, (ii) development and validation of the CORS test score, (iii) Clinical Practice Research Datalink database exploitation, (iv) preventive cardiology and novel screening test development; and (v) proven skills in biostatistics to develop predicting models for disease detection and cardiovascular prevention. They will have evidence of embedded academic research and be able to meet the requirements of the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
