Based within CUEL, a sister company of Coventry University, Safety and Security is a multi‐disciplinary team that provides expertise in Health and Safety, Information Security, Physical Security (Protection Services), and operational Business Continuity to protect the Group’s people, operations, and property.  We have opportunity for a Safety and Security Coordinator to join the team and provide the high‐quality administrative support which is essential for the team's successful operation.
 

The Role

 

 As Safety and Security Coordinator, you will be directly responsible for ensuring the effective administration of the Safety and Security team. The role includes line management responsibility for the Safety & Security Administrator. Together, they provide essential administrative, communications, and systems support to ensure the team functions effectively and provides an excellent service to their stakeholders. 

 

You will directly support the Head of Safety and Security, working closely with the Safety and Security and the Protection Service teams, and other teams across the Group, to ensure effective communications and administration of Safety and Security in conformance with contractual, statutory and customer requirements.

 

You will have responsibility for first line communications and promotional campaigns (including websites, newsletters, and social media), development and maintenance of processes and procedures for Safety and Security, including maintaining specialist software systems, coordinating procurement and budget support, and admin support for meetings and training delivery.
 

Our Successful Candidate

 

The successful candidate will have strong IT skills, demonstrating extensive experience of working with Microsoft packages including Excel, SharePoint and Teams and an ability to learn bespoke systems quickly. You will have experience of managing data, systems and/or communications campaigns.

 

You will be organised, and able to manage a range of tasks simultaneously whilst ensuring deadlines are met across the team whilst maintaining excellent customer service levels.

 

This role involves working on issues related to legal compliance and confidential incidents demanding high levels of confidentiality, and accuracy, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
