CU Recruitment and Admissions Limited (part of the Coventry University Group) is building a new approach to student recruitment and Sponsorship Compliance, establishing strategies that position Coventry University Group as a dominant local, national and international recruiter.
The Role
Based in Coventry and reporting to the Associate Director of the Sponsorship Compliance and Quality Assurance (SCQA) team, you will lead a specialist team focused on quality assurance in pre-enrolment activities and ensure our continued compliance with UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) regulations. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the University's sponsor licence, preparing for audits, managing compliance systems, and implementing effective quality control processes.
This is a pivotal leadership role with a strong focus on team performance, operational improvement, and strategic compliance. You will ensure our systems, processes, and staff are fully equipped to meet the demands of a fast-changing regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Specialists and Assistants, ensuring effective training, development, and performance management.
- Oversee pre-enrolment quality assurance, particularly the review of credibility interviews, financial documentation, and Enroly assessments.
- Prepare for and support UKVI audits across the Coventry University Group.
- Act as a business partner with Admissions and Enroly, reviewing data and systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Drive process innovation and lead the development and implementation of effective compliance practices.
- Provide expert advice and make decisions on complex pre-enrolment and immigration compliance matters.
- Develop and maintain accurate visa advisory materials and resources, ensuring alignment with UKVI guidance.
- Recruit, induct, and train new team members in line with departmental needs.
Our Successful Candidate
We’re seeking a dedicated individual with substantial experience in compliance, immigration, and/or the Higher Education sector. You’ll be a confident leader with proven people management skills and a track record of building and nurturing high-performing teams.
You will bring experience working across multiple systems and databases, with the ability to interpret and analyse data to drive operational improvements. Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills are vital, as is a meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
A flexible approach is essential, as some travel may be required as part of this role.
