Salary

Competitive starting salary range from £37,631 up to £42,943 (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

The Role

 

As a Teaching Fellow in Practice Education you will support Nursing and Nursing Associate education. Based in Coventry as a Teaching Fellow in the Practice Education Team you will lead on the delivery of practice education placement experiences for nursing and nursing associate students accessing placements in Coventry and Warwickshire and the surrounding areas. You will work with and lead other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience. 

 

Duties include:

 

  • Leading on the development, maintenance and quality monitoring of NHS and Non-NHS placements in Coventry and Warwickshire and surrounding areas
  • Supporting students and staff in practice to enable high quality student practice learning experiences
  • Contributing and leading on the delivery of core activities to support student practice placement learning in Coventry and Warwickshire and surrounding areas

Qualifications Required

 

  • Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
  • A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one if not already held
  • PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous

You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Nursing and Nursing Associate topics with high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.Highly organised, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to the academic subject area.

 

An experienced leader with good level of digital fluency

 

As a global education provider, experience and awareness of learners cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.

 

Innovation and collaboration are key to our success, therefore the ability to work both independently and part of a wider team with the willingness to engage in flexible ways of working are key skills required for this role.
