Competitive starting salary range from £36,011 up to £41,095 (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

The role of Staff Communications and Engagement Officer sits within CU Corporate Services, a wholly owned sister company of Coventry University Group.

The Role

 

The role of Web Manager centres on supporting the Head of Web and Digital Performance Marketing in developing Coventry University Group’s digital presence, while also leading a team responsible for project delivery and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and brand identity. Key responsibilities include managing user experiences and coordinating with stakeholders for timely project completion. Success in this role demands proactive leadership, project management skills, and a commitment to fostering a high-performing team culture. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in team management, coupled with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences within a legally compliant framework.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the web team to plan and execute web and app projects, ensuring they are user-centred and delivered on time.
  • Manage existing content on websites and apps to ensure accuracy, user journey alignment, and compliance with SEO, accessibility, and brand standards.
  • Utilise data insights to inform website and app design and content decisions, focusing on continuous digital optimisation.
  • Review and suggest improvements to website and app information architecture through data and insights.
  • Own the roadmap, prioritising features, improvements, and updates in collaboration with the web team.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality and integrity of information on university websites, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to web development, such as security and data protection.
  • Provide support during critical periods like Clearing or emergencies, including out-of-hours support.
