Competitive starting salary range from £34,406 up to £38,743 (dependent on experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

The Role

 

We are looking for a skilled, proactive and motivated BMS Engineer with a strong Siemens systems bias to troubleshoot complex control systems, support the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Building Management Systems at Coventry University ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our systems.

 

Working across a diverse range of buildings, you will carry out planned maintenance, system monitoring, fault finding, and repairs on our Building Management Systems, HVAC controls and general plant operation. Using Siemens platforms and networks such as Desigo CC, X works, Modbus, M‑Bus, and KNX, you will play a key role in maintaining performance, optimisation, improving energy efficiency, configuring and supporting software development such as graphics, alarms, trend logs, metering reports and supporting day‑to‑day operations such as providing onsite technical support.

Our Successful Candidate

 

You will have a Level 3 City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent) in electrical installation, heating and ventilation, or a related field, along with relevant ACS or BMS/control qualifications.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Siemens Desigo CC and X works.


With experience of commercial or industrial BMS systems, you will be confident using system interfaces and carrying out fault finding on single and three-phase systems. You will understand industry standards and take pride in delivering high-quality work.


You will be a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team and is keen to develop their skills in a varied and technically engaging environment.
