The Role
The Senior Planning and Insight Analyst role sits within the Planning Performance and Insight team within the Group's Strategic Planning and Insights Office.
In this role you will play a pivotal part in advancing the Group's strategic planning and insight practices. Serving as a catalyst for informed decision-making, you will engage in the compilation, analysis, and assessment of data related to students, staff, finances, and spatial utilisation. Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, you will extract pertinent insights to guide decision-makers in comprehending trends, addressing challenges, and identifying opportunities, all while actively contributing to the implementation of the Group's strategy.
We are seeking a data and insights professional to analyse complex datasets and turn them into clear, actionable insights that support strategic planning and decision making across the Coventry Group.
This role involves analysing and interpreting large, complex datasets using a range of data and ETL tools to generate timely reports, dashboards and actionable insights tailored to different audiences. You will be responsible for developing statistical and predictive models to support forecasting and performance analysis, as well as contributing to the design of planning models, KPIs and dashboards. You will be required to collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to understand and deliver their insight needs, while promoting high quality data, improving data literacy and supporting effective use of data systems. Additionally, you will be representing the Group at sector events and contributing to project work as required.
Our Successful Candidate
You will educated to degree level or hold substantial experience within a similar role. You will have proven experience of analysing, interpreting and reporting complex datasets. You will be a confident and analytical data professional with experience turning complex information into clear, impactful insights to support decision‑making.
You will be confident in using data analysis tools and advanced Excel functions, experience of analytical & visualisation software packages such as Tableau or similar business intelligence tools would be advantageous.
From your previous work experience you will have developed the skills to effectively communicating complex analysis outputs to diverse audiences including technical and non-technical, using various methods (reports, presentations, etc.) and visualisations through appropriate software.
